Welcome to the Medical Transcription Philippines Blog.

This blog would feature why the Philippines is a good place for outsourcing medical transcription services and also what qualities to look for in finding cost-efficient small to medium-sized medical transcription companies without compromising integrity, efficiency and quality.

Is contracting with large transcription companies the way to go or is acquiring the services or smaller and more specialized Philippine medical transcription companies the better alternative?

Visit this site often for useful articles and updates.  Thank you.

    Hi

This is Rajinder Babuta from New Delhi, India. I have been into the medical transcription business since 1998, and am presently into independent contracting presently having more than a dozen subcontractors working for me including HBTs and small sized transcription companies within India.

After coming across a lot of information regarding MT business in Philippines and coming across this blog, I would like to know if there is an organized channel from wherein I can get information and resources for any possibilities of expansion for my activities in Philippines in the shape of subcontracting work or entering into tieups and JVs with transcription companies or group of HBTs there.

Any help and information in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

First thing first. MT schools in the Philippines offers a very high tuition fee. As of my personal research the lowest is 20,000 and the max to 30,000. I have not known yet any MT school offer more than 30K.

MT industry in the Philippines is on it way to going high. Soon the MT will overwhelm the Call Center Insdutry where it has been “commercialized”. Call center’s salay now a day is going low, from the starting salary (2006) of 12L no on 9K. This is alarming!

MY is very to good to start with. The fact that MT graduates could have a more oppurtunity to work abroad than that of a call center agent going to work abroad in the same field. The MT is more viable.

MT school has to have it’s advocasy of producing MT quality graduates by giving a scholarships to the deserving but indigent students.

MT career is more rewarding unlike call center that is too intoxicating. Intoxicating not because of the graveyard shift but because of the supervisor’s being asshole!

To the MT schools. I hope you will consider having advocasy and not only to make money out of enrollees.
